My best friend and I make an annual visit to NYC and have stayed all over midtown in the 15 years we have been making this trip, including The Plaza, The Waldorf, The Marriott Marquis, The Benjamin, Hilton, Weston, etc. We discovered The Kimberly five years ago and fell in love with it and would not consider staying anywhere else. It's got everything. An amazing rooftop bar (the best Kobe beef sliders I've ever had in my life as well as incredible views and ambiance), two very nice restaurants on the ground floor, central location within walking distance Rock Center, Central Park, Time Square, etc. and the most friendly and accommodating staff ever. The suites are perfect, plenty of room for all our stuff, including extra closets for luggage, coats, etc. The little kitchen is really pretty with granite counter tops and a tiny chandelier and stocked with everything we needed, and if it wasn't there, all we had to do was ask. It is a small (comparatively speaking) hotel so there are no ice machines but that's not a problem because ice is delivered almost as fast as you could walk down and get it yourself. Any service is lightening fast, and always with a smile. The hotel is great on its own but the staff is what really makes it special and make their guests feel special. I wish I could remember everyone's name but Harry, the awesome doorman, arranged transportation to the airport to make our departure less painful and our young server in Bistango helped send us off in style also. There are so many places to go and see while in NYC, but we could have a great time if we never left The Kimberly. Can't wait to return.
